About
My name is Wayne Balion and I’m a computer engineering student at the University of Saskatchewan. This site is dedicated to collecting my various hobbies into one place. I have dabbled in quite a few things, from music to art to video filming and editing.
I started doing music in 1999. By music, I mean composing some sample loops together to make something I thought sounded cool using eJay. I later moved on to using Garage Band for a more updated sound. One day I hope to move on to composing music but we’ll just wait and see if that happens.
Digital art was my experimentation into 3D graphics using a couple different programs. The only ones I have posted are the ones I made in Adobe’s Bryce 5. This application was used for terrain and environment modeling, as well as animation. I also played around with Lightwave for a while but decided not to post these images as they were simply made off of tutorials I found.
Video filming and editing I started doing fairly recently. Most of it has been for my engineering students’ society for first-year orientation. I have also begun doing more filming for theatre performances and live improv comedy.
On top of all that, I have been doing website design and maintenance for a variety of groups, including FLoYD Fest, Knockin’Em Dead, Green Grove Summer Camp, Lady Chaos Design, WEC 2011 and SESS.
